Act of Kindness

At the QEH in the ER today, I saw an act of kindness. A gentleman saw an elderly man eating some chips earlier during the wait. The gentleman goes to the cafeteria to get himself a sandwich, and bought a 2nd one to bring back with him. He exchanges a short interaction with the elderly man, and offers it to him. At first the elderly man declines, but the gentleman says that he’s already had one and they are quite good. The elderly gentleman ends up accepting the sandwich in case he gets hungry during his wait.

It warmed my heart to see an act of kindness! So much in this world comes with an exchange. We need more of these moments!
